About
Now & When is a daily history game. You get eight things, like inventions, companies, buildings, foods and events, and you put them in the order they happened. Everyone gets the same puzzle, and there's a new one every day at midnight.
How to play
The first card goes on the timeline for you, with its year showing. The other seven come one at a time, and you tap where you think each one fits. Once you place a card, its year flips over. If you got it wrong, it moves to the right spot and you can see how many years off you were.
You get a point for every card in the right spot, so a perfect score is 7. Puzzles are easiest on Mondays and get harder as the week goes on.
Where the dates come from
Every card is checked against its Wikipedia article, and you can tap through to read it. Dates from the ancient world are often approximate, so those cards are marked "c." for circa. If you think a date is wrong, email hello@nowandwhen.app and I'll fix it.
Your data
There's no sign-up. Your scores and streak are saved in your own browser, and the privacy page has the details.
